to SAT & STEP.
Upload a downloaded Revit family and get its visible solids as an ACIS SAT or STEP file — no local Revit license required. Processed using Autodesk cloud engines when conversion is enabled.

Revit RFA to SOLIDWORKS: common questions
Can I open an RFA directly in SOLIDWORKS?
This tool converts Revit family solid geometry into neutral SAT files for import into SOLIDWORKS. It does not recreate editable SOLIDWORKS feature history. Materials, constraints, parameters, connectors and non-solid geometry may not transfer.
Which Revit versions are supported?
The converter uses Revit 2026. Files saved in Revit 2027 or newer cannot be opened by this engine. Older compatible families may be upgraded during processing, but not every family is supported.
Is STEP available?
Yes. SAT and STEP are both available for free-allowance and paid conversions. STEP uses two cloud passes: RFA → SAT, then SAT → STEP. Check dimensions and appearance after importing your file.
Is a Revit license required?
You do not need a local Revit installation for this tool. With your permission, your file is processed using Autodesk cloud engines when cloud conversion is enabled.
Is the conversion free?
Each confirmed account receives one lifetime free successful SAT or STEP conversion. Additional SAT or STEP conversions cost $5 each, paid through Stripe checkout before upload. A definitively failed paid conversion triggers an automatic refund to the original payment method, not another usable credit. Unknown cloud outcomes are held for review. Daily capacity limits apply.
Is a failed conversion charged against my allowance?
Only a successful output consumes the lifetime free allowance. Definitive failures release that free allowance. Paid failures trigger a refund to the original payment method; refund processing may take time. Unknown cloud outcomes are quarantined until reviewed.
Which families have been tested?
Advance Tabco commercial-sink SAT output was checked in SOLIDWORKS 2023. This example does not guarantee compatibility with every family.
Can I download later?
Keep your original and save your download promptly. Files expire after 7 days. Private job metadata may be retained for accounting and support. Remote files with unresolved cloud work are held for operator reconciliation, then deletion.
